Blue Chip Baseball - Seth BrizekSeth Brizek was the co-captain of Clemson’s ACC Champion, Regional Champion, and World Series Team in 1995 when he earned All-American honors as a shortstop. Drafted in the 8th round by the Seattle Mariners in 1995 as a shortstop / pitcher, he earned several club honors over his 4 year career.  As an associate scout for the Atlanta Braves he trained Atlanta’s 2nd round pick in ’03 and the Pirates 3rd round pick, Eddie Prasch, in ’04.

Seth has been instructing for 22 years, has placed over 365 of his kids into college baseball programs, and has had 30 go on to play professionally.  His credentials are unmatched in the Southeast let alone the Upstate.  He is also the head coach of Blue Chip Bulls nationally ranked 18U team the Blue Chip Bulls, former scout for the Texas Rangers and is now living in Powdersville, SC and has a son named Kidd.

As the original owner of Blue Chip Baseball he will add to his nearly 50,000 lessons given and 20 years of professional instruction here in upstate SC.

Blue Chip Baseball - PJ ZocchiPJ Zocchi was a right handed pitcher at Clemson from 2003-2007.  In his career at Clemson, PJ posted a 11-2 record on the mound.  As a Senior Co-captain with Andy D'Alessio, PJ has college world series experience as well as professional baseball experience with the Cleveland Indians. 

He is currently playing independent ball and instructs at Blue Chip in the off-season.  He is also the assistant coach of our Blue Chip Bulls 15U team.  Come to Blue Chip and see why so many new lessons are requesting PJ Zocchi! 

Blue Chip Baseball - Andy D'AlessioAndy D'Alessio spent 2003-2007 as Clemson University's first baseman.  He holds Clemson's all-time career HR record  with 59!  In 2006 and 2007 Andy was drafted in the 10th and 17th rounds respectively, and is currently playing AA baseball with the San Francisco Giants.  This is Andy's fifth year of professional instruction at the Blue Chip facility.  Andy is a very knowledgeable hitter and position player, and is also has a background in pitching.  He is also the head coach of our new 12U travel team.  Call Blue Chip and arrange your time with Andy today!

Kevin Brady pitched for Coach Leggett at Clemson from 2009-
2012 seasons and was selected in the 17th round by the Cleveland Indians. 
On the mound Kevin earned numerous ACC and collegiate awards, as well as All ACC Academic awards.  He also played in the prestigious Cape Cod Summer League in 2010.  Out of HS, Kevin was also a highly regarded hitter and defensibe player, fortunate enough to be in Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd".  Kevin is currently a full time Special Education teacher at Mt. Lebanon Elementary school.  Welcome aboard Kevin.

Daniel Nations
played at Daniel HS and just graduated from Newberry College in May of '16.  As an outstanding High School and Blue Chip outfield and primarily pitcher, he also achieved many accolades at Newberry on the mound, and went 8-1 his sr. year.  We are super excited to have him on our staff and his energy and knowledge of the game will serve your son or daughter extremely well.  Daniel is also on the Blue Chip "All Foxhole Team" which is rewarded to Blue Chip's hardest working most dedicated players.

Doug Livingston

Doug grew up in Tampa, Fla were he was a three-year, All-Conference second baseman at King High School. From Tampa, Doug had the opportunity to attend Faulkner State CC in Bay Minette, AL. In the two seasons at FSCC he played multiple positions and earned Conference player of the year and Junior College All-American honors. Clemson University was the next playing opportunity. Doug was a starting second baseman for an ACC championship team and back-to-back College World Series teams.  In 1996, the Colorado Rockies made Doug a 17th round draft pick. Throughout 4 seasons in the Rockies organization, he was able to play multiple positions for teams from Short Season A baseball through Double A.  Doug spent his last two seasons of professional baseball with the Fargo-Morehead Redhawks of the Independent Northern League.  In the summer of 2000, Doug moved to Alpharetta, GA,  and he began giving private lessons and running camps.  Doug worked at Grand Slam Sports Center in Alpharetta, GA, since 2003.  At Grand Slam Sports Center, he was given the opportunity to work with individual students on fielding footwork and mechanics, hitting approach, and occasional pitching techniques.
Doug recently moved back to Clemson, SC with his wife Felicia, and his two children Reese, and Jackson. He is now a fulltime instructor at Blue Chip
and eager to pass along his baseball experiences and his 15+ years of private instructional knowledge. 


Travis Barbary
played in the upstate at Easley HS and then on to University of Virginia. Following UVA, Travis caught professionally for the LA Dodgers and is currently their Catching Co-Ordinator.  He is home for the offseason and helping with upstate catchers at the Blue Chip facility.  If your son is an aspiring catcher, give us a call and get to know Travis.  His knowledge of the game and catching is unbelievable and his lesson times are filling up fast!

Kyle Freeman
played second base at Carolina HS and went on to play two years at Spartanburg Methodist College.  He has been in the upstate coaching with the highly regarded Wren HS, Eastside HS, and also several 12U-15U travel ball for the past 6 years. 

Garrett Boulware
caught at TL Hanna HS, was drafted out of HS, but decided to catch at Clemson for 3 years before being drafted again by the Reds.  Garrett is currently back in town and will be giving lessons until its time to head back to Spring Training.
